Let’s think spring, and with spring comes the beloved holiday of Easter! one of my favorite holidays! to many Easter can be celebrated for so many reasons and so many points of view! I personally find Easter to be the beginning of a renewal, new hope and new life which are all things that embody the feeling of Spring. Flowers are blooming, the weather is slowly but surely beginning to break (for Virginia anyway) and it almost feels like a FRESH START. Easter has been celebrated in so many ways and my personal favorite since a child has been Gift Easter Baskets!
If I had it my way I would have loved to get a Easter Basket passed my childhood years, but no one asked me sooooo….. now as an adult I can build as many Easter Baskets for the kids, myself, decoration around the house or for someone I think could use a pick me up! This time around I want to focus on an the adult gift basket because that’s where I am in my life, adulting… every…. single…. day! Let’s be honest I just want a reason to give myself A MUCH NEEDED gift and if you are anything like me, you can follow along to do the same for yourself or someone you think could use the same Adulting Easter Basket!
I WANTED TO SHARE MY DIY EASTER BASKET BECAUSE IT’S THAT TIME OF THE YEAR TO START SPRING CLEANING AND CREATING EASTER BASKETS, AND ON THE LIST OF TO DO’S CAN GO ON AN ON. SO TO BREAK UP THE MONOTONY OF THE SAME OL’ I THOUGHT CREATING A CRAFTED EASTER BASKET FOR YOURSELF CAN MAKE EVERYTHING SEEM A LITTLE MORE FESTIVE! i HAVE A FEW SMALL TRICKS LISTED AND A FEW CLICKABLE LINKS TO SHARE IN WHAT I PUT IN MY BASKET, HOWEVER FEEL FREE TO ADD YOUR OWN! FIRST THINGS FIRST, IN ORDER TO BUILD THIS BEAUTIFUL KEEPSAKE GIFT BASKET we SHOULD FIRST SELECT THE RIGHT BASKET THAT CAN FIT ALL OF our goodies and gadgets inSIDE and for this one I wanted to use a crisp white rope style basket that is absolutely adorable and perfect for photos! Now we know in order to call it an Easter Basket we must include a few Easter Essentials otherwise it would be just a gift basket (haha), and these things could range from Easter Eggs to a Stuffed Easter Bunny! However for this one we will swap out the Stuffed Easter bunny for a chocolate one (round of applause please!) and I think we will add a few golden Easter eggs for decor purposes.
For aesthetic, which if you all have been following us for a while now you will know that aesthetics are the end all be all! so for this one I was going for a pink, white, gold theme with a feel of relaxation and unwinding as the theme, so that can be all of your favorites such a glass of wine, a warm bath soak, a book or doing something to take your mind off of the day to day, and don’t forget the chocolates! I wanted to make sure the look of the basket complimented the theme and that included ribbons, basket filler, and a note to yourself or to whomever you are giving this beauty to! i included a small affirmation note card to myself to add that element of personalization and to make the gift that much more meaningful.

Now that you have the key ideas and themes down you can start adding as much as your basket can handle. We suggest all kinds of fun add ons like, flowers, perfumes, makeup, etc. whatever your theme no idea is too far fetched!
EASTER SHOPPING LIST!
For this DIy I used a few essential items however feel free to get as creative as possible with adding a few personal touches OF YOUR OWN! i HAVE LISTED AND LINKED ALL OF THE ITEMS I USED IN THIS BASKET BELOW HOWEVER YOU COULD USE WHAT IS CONVENIENT OR YOUR FAVORITE BRANDS.
CHOCOLATE BUNNY - PREFERABLY LINDT CHOCOLATES
BATH SALTS OR BATH SOAK - LOLLIA “BREATHE” SCENT IS MY PERSONAL FAVORITE
CANDLES OR DIFFUSER - ILLUME CANDLE - COCONUT MILK MANGO
LAPCOS FACE MASKS (PEARL & HONEY)
BASKET STUFFING (WHITE OR IVORY)
WINE (I LOVE MERLOT WITH CHOCOLATE!)
LET’S START BUILDING!
A FEW TIPS AND TRICKS ARE ESSENTIAL TO CRAFTING THE SAFELY PERFECT BASKET, IN OTHER WORDS A BASKET THAT STANDS TALL AND IN PLACE WITH OUT YOU PULLING YOUR HAIR OUT! BE SURE TO CHOOSE A NICE SIZED BASKET THAT CAN HOLD ALL OF YOUR ITEMS, PREFERABLY A WIDE BASED BASKET THAT IS STURDY.
PACK THE BASE WITH OLD NEWSPAPER, BUBBLE WRAP, OR PACKING PEANUTS TO GIVE YOUR ITEMS HEIGHT WITHOUT WASTING STUFFING PAPER.
The best way to arrange the items in the basket is to place the BIGGER/BULK items in the back, then place the SMALLER-LIGHTER WEIGHT items in the front where they will be most visible. THEN YOU CAN ADD THE SMALL DISPLAY THEMED ITEMS (EASTER BUNNY, EGGS, FESTIVE KEEPSAKES) IN THE FRONT.
USE BAMBOO STICKS OR SKEWER STICK TO DISPLAY SMALL ITEMS THAT DON’T FIT EXACTLY THE WAY YOU WOULD LIKE INSIDE THE BASKET, IF THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING THEN I WOULD SUGGEST USING FOAM AT THE BASE TO ASSURE SKEWERS STAND UP RIGHT.
ONCE COMPLETE USE STUFFING PAPER TO FILL IN THE SMALL HOLES THAT NEED TO BE FILLED OR COVERED!
DON’T BE AFRAID TO ADD A RIBBON AND BOW TO ADD THAT EXTRA POP OF COLOR AROUND THE BASE OF THE BASKET.
GIVE THIS EASTER BASKET TO JUST ABOUT ANYONE AND WATCH THEM SWOON! i HAD SO MUCH FUN CREATING THIS BASKET AND I THINK THAT’S THE SECRET TO CREATING SOMETHING MEANINGFUL FOR YOURSELF OR FOR SOMEONE ELSE IS TO HAVE FUN DOING IT! WE ARE IN BUSINESS FOR THIS REASON ALONE AND IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CREATE SOMETHING LIKE THIS FOR ANY OCCASION AS WE ALWAYS MENTION WE LOVE TO CREATE CUSTOM GIFTS AS WELL AS TAKING ANY ITEM YOU SEE IN A BOX AND PUTTING IT INTO A BASKET JUST FOR YOU!
