SPRING EDITION: Reset, Refresh, Restore

Many believe that we are meant to start fresh the day after New Year, I mean on January 1st we are expected to have all of our homes, business ideas, and personal plans in order. We do this so that we can keep every thing on track and are able to set strategic goals going forward.

In order to acheive this is to set those goals and plans during the year’s end, while planning the visit to grandma’s for the holidays, buying gifts for everyone on your lists, wrapping the gifts, making the festive holiday meals, and not to mention still having to work and keep the house tidy. you are to have plans for the following year READY AND SET TO GO. I believe we are completely overwhelmed and relieved all at the same time by January 1ST because we first just conquered the holidays but at same time glad that IT is done (some of us) and also we are daunted with the idea of what do I do with a whole new year?

IN ORDER TO SEE THE YEAR THROUGH, GIVING YOURSELF A GRACE PERIOD TO PLAN AHEAD WOULD BE IDEAL. MAKING A PLAN CAN TAKE TIME AND WE LIKE TO LEAVE SPACE TO DO this from January 1st to Feb mid month to think about THE next move. Then come Spring WE can go in with full confidence knowing that I used time wisely and a little more sure about OUR future plans. WITH This routine WE TOTALLY look forward to because there are no big expectations and it feels like a journey of intention and allowing OURSELVES to enjoy the process of life. RESET, REFRESH, RENEW….

If we gave ourselves some grace to sift through the magic of life and allowing ourselves to just be for a minute is necessary to figure out what you want to accomplish, how your going to do it and make plans to get it done. The idea to renew your spirit with intention is a task within itself and making it a necessity for yourself can be eye opening. As we grow so does our wants and needs. And I can speak from experience that every year it looks different. I understand that if I dive head first into the unknown at the beginning of the new year then burnout is right around the corner and everything falls like a house of cards. So I like to give myself a grace period of maintaining the everyday necessities but also making plans to refresh and renew my personal life and goals, work life, and relationships. Most of the time it starts from within, a little self care including yoga, prayer, meditation, gardening, or a long workout session all make it a bit easier to understand what’s needed and what’s next on the agenda.

This is where the magic begins because I’m able to make time for me before setting demands on myself to get me to head into the wrong direction of the next venture. I feel free of the pressure, free of the demands, and free to create the life I love. This is all about making the best life you can and being kind to yourself to enjoy every second of everyday. It allows me to put a “Spring” back into my step.

refresh can means so much with this task we can renew our spirits, our surroundings, our calendars. we have so many areas in our lives that can use a spruce up like updating our wardrobes. there does come a time that you must refresh everything even those dusty window seals. Take the time to refresh your mental with a mini solo trip, or a meditation app, this can help to revitalize your spirit and make it easier to hear your own thoughts. Refresh your space with a professional home cleaning, an updated small space in your home, your nightstand with a few essentials to turn bedtime into an experience or even a coffee nook overhaul. Get that new coffee machine, or a beautiful vase for flowers, maybe even some new coffee mugs to set the vibe.

to refresh will give a great foundation to make good decisions going forward and feeling good about your environment inside and outside. This is a process and understanding why we do what we do on a day to day makes a huge difference in our lives and its outcome. Your refresh is the icing on the cake after making an effort to reset your life in all areas, realizing the parts that need a little work, putting in the effort to plan the changes, and then implementing the changes can change the course of any “to do” on your list.

after doing the work of rediscovery, we begin with restoring things that need the transformation, including your health, home cleanliness, sorted finances, or mended relationships. doing the work of evaluating areas in your life are vital if you want to see progress going forward. we all know that staying on a course that is going nowhere is a waste of time and energy. this also mean getting rid of old habits, ending bad friendships, and throwing out those plates from your first apartment (this is your sign to do it!) is so necessary. we like to think of spring cleaning as a lifes mantra, not a confinement to your homes cleanliness. but remember to pace yourself, be kind to the process, and don’t be afraid to level up with how you make life happen for you.

We wish you luck in your new found idea of spring cleaning, and we are here to help you along the way!
